Email Scam Relating to Users of WorkDay
Brunswick has been made aware of ongoing fraud related to phishing messages and password attacks against Workday user accounts. Brunswick employees are protected from this these types of attacks, through the use of multi-factor authentication. Nevertheless, we want to warn you about this to prevent the disclosure of passwords that could be used in other types of attacks. Multi-factor authentication is the requirement to use a mobile app, text message code, or phone call in addition to a password. Scam 1: Phishing The attacker sends an email claiming to be from the CFO, CEO, the head of HR, or similar. The email asks you to click a link embedded in the email or to open an attached PDF to log into Workday and change your Workday username and password. The attacker then grabs the user name and password and logs into the Workday account as you. Once they are logged in, they change your direct deposit bank / ACH information to another bank or credit card under their control. Scam 2: Password Reuse Attackers are using passwords stolen from other data breaches, such as LinkedIn, Adobe, and Yahoo, and trying to use those passwords to log into Workday. This is why it's critical not to re-use passwords across websites. So, what can you do?

HEALTH TIPSToday's Tip: F.A.S.T. WAY TO RECOGNIZE A STROKE!
Few people know the symptoms of stroke. Learning them could save your life or the life of a loved one. F.A.S.T. is a simple test to help you recognize stroke symptoms: F = FACE – Ask the person to smile; A = ARMS – Ask them to raise both arms; S = SPEECH – Ask them to repeat a simple sentence; T = TIME – Call 911 if the person has trouble with any of these tasks. Describe their symptoms to the dispatcher. Mention the possibility of stroke. If there is any doubt, don't wait; CALL 911. Remember, strokes strike fast.
